Dr. Homayoon Mahjoob completed his Doctorate of Medicine at National Medical Science University of Iran followed by post doctoral research in the field of gstroenterology at University of California, San Diego. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital, New York. He followed his residency training in the field of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Mount Sinai Medical School, New York where he also served as Chief Resident and completed his post doctoral training in Master of Science of Public Health and Community Medicine. He completed his Fellowship at Howard University School of Medicine in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, as well as Fourth-tier Fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography, (ERCP). Dr. Mahjoob also completed his further advanced training at University of Massachusetts in Advanced Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS + FNA).

 Dr. Mahjoob's professional interests include ERCP, EUS (with FNA), pancreatic and biliary disease,  therapeutic endoscopy, and gastrointestinal malignancy.
